Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Cost Engineer, based in the Netherlands.
Job Description
As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in tenders and collaborate with the tender manager, production engineer and design engineers to work out the details of complex, multidisciplinary projects, ultimately visualizing them and translating them into a cost price and risk profile.
Preparing cost estimates for tenders for international marine engineering projects.
Collecting relevant information from the production and engineering departments and/or during site visits.
Working this data up into budgets with the associated schedules and work descriptions.
In this role, you will consult regularly with colleagues, those bearing commercial responsibility, and clients about cost estimates and the opportunities and risks that could arise during project execution.
Skills & Experience
A higher professional degree in civil engineering and, preferably, an Advanced Dredging Execution diploma (VOUB).
Previous relevant work experience.
An enthusiastic team player with strong analytical skills and an affinity for commercial and financial issues.
Prepared to make occasional short stays abroad.
A good command of the English language.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
