Our client is an expert in the execution of large and complex projects, providing worldwide support to clients from the conceptual design stage to engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning.
They are currently recruiting for the position of Design Engineer, based in Delft.
Job Description
Prepare budget and schedule for all design engineering work for the projects;
Perform detailed calculations and simulations using the appropriate computer software;
Prepare scope of work and ITT package for pipeline design related activities;
Manage/co-ordinate subcontractor works with the companies related disciplines, and ensure the work is carried out according to the specific requirements of the particular project;
Ensure the Manager Engineering (or delegate) receives regular status updates on the progress of work;
Maintain and process project files and documents in view of audit requirements both internal and external;
Act as a primary point of contact for all design related matters relating to the project;
Prepare relevant input for the engineering close out report.
Skills & Experience
BSc or MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Previous working as a Design Engineer (or equivalent) or as a (Senior) Installation Engineer;
Capable of working with pipeline and installation codes;
Knowledge of pipeline mechanical design, wall thickness determination, buckling, free span and stability analysis is considered an advantage;
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
Willingness to travel.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
