Our client is among the largest independent Oil & Gas exploration and production companies.
They are currently recruiting for the position of a Northern Mozambique Security Manager, based in Mozambique.
Job Description
- In liaison with the RSM and corporate SMEs; assess, plan, design, establish and maintain the core security countermeasures components in support of current and future operations.
- Ensure the understanding, stating, and implementation of Company security policy with reference to SOPs.
- Quality control of all security systems, standards and delivery, including oversight and compliance for all contractor security operations.
- Oversee physical security standards and delivery throughout the project area.
- Ensure contractor compliance with project standards in relevant areas.
- Maintain and develop technical security solutions to support project activity and requirements.
- Ensure the maintenance and serviceability of all existing technical security components.
- Ensure oversight of the security related aspects of project journey management procedures for project personnel within designated area of responsibility.
- Maintain and develop information access and flow process in support of incident response and crisis management requirements.
- Ensure security briefings are provided to all project visitors to the Northern area.
- Ensure relevant and current information is shared with, and subsequent briefs provided to, applicable project groups (social liaison etc).
- Maintain currency, and data base, on all relevant security issues in and around the project area.
- Point of contact for all security reports throughout extended area of responsibility.
- Facilitate effective information flow through relevant security incidents and crisis management situations.
- Non routine reporting of security concerns and incidents.
- Routine weekly reporting on security related situation and activities.
- Continually develop and oversee the project training and skill-development program for all contracted security personnel.
- Task specific training for all project security personnel (with the exception of host nation security forces), with particular focus on security protocols, procedures, human rights and the use of force, and social policy awareness.
- Instruction of drivers in the security related measures required to support project operations.
- Specific to offshore operations.
- Ensure regular documented training sessions, both onshore and offshore, aimed at maintaining and developing the understanding of the AMA1 Counter Piracy Plan and its effective implementation, to include regular documented joint exercises and proficiency drills offshore.
- Maintain effective liaison with ocal project management, partners and contracting entities, in support of current activities and in preparation for future operations.
- Local representatives of Mozambican government agencies, notably the police and military.
- Neighboring industry operators.
- Specific to offshore operations.
- Command representatives of military contingent dedicated to the project.
- Project representatives, clients, partners and stakeholders.
- Embassy representatives and security organizations related to off-shore security operations.
- Security representatives of neighboring and regional industry operations.
- All service providers associated with the provision of offshore security support.
- Manage the security service delivery within the area of responsibility.
- Quality control of administration and logistics support for project security personnel.
- Ensure currency of all security policy and procedural documentation.
- Ensure effective management of all security related contracts, including; the Navy, contracted security personnel, security vessels, and associated vendors and service providers.
- Forward planning for all aspects of security service delivery, in support of project requirements.
- Maintain currency, and data base, on all relevant security issues.
- Ensure an effective information flow of security relevant information.
- Provide first level DTCI assessments.
- Assess, plan, design, establish and maintain contingency measures to ensure the security of project personnel through any potential threat situation, and plan and prepare for any security related evacuation.
- Support project management in emergency and crisis response, evacuation, and security based Business Continuity.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
