Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Shift Security Supervisor, based in India.
Job Description
Planning of shift security operations in consultation with Security Specialist/Field Security In charge.
Be responsible for total protection and safeguarding people, assets, environment and reputation of the company at the port & terminal locations and any other locations having company's business interests and/or as directed by the company from time to time from security threats including but not limited to Armed Conflict, Terrorism, Violent Crime, Organized Crime, Targeted Activism, Civil Unrest, Encroachment and Theft of Information and other Adversarial & Non Adversarial threats during his shift.
Shift manpower deployment, briefing, monitoring, handling and its record keeping.
Keep educated on the latest security procedures and work instructions.
Maintain close personal contact with members of security staff to keep them motivated for the job.
Ensure all security staff understands their duties. Educate, train and brief security staff in his shift.
Carry out security control room operations; coordinate with terminal and port control room for effective security operations. Also, coordinate with AHPPL security control room as may be the need.
During the shift make field visits, manage security control room, prepare required security reports and update Security Specialist / Field Security In charge.
Maintain liaison with local police and counterparts in neighboring industries.
Work closely with security specialist/ Field Security Incharge for smooth security operations.
When ship is expected, plan for related security activities and execute the same during shift.
Keep updated on emergency response and role of security in case of emergency and ensure quick and prudent response from security staff. Additionally provide auxiliary support to site emergency response team.
Ensure periodic feedback from guards deployed at different security positions.
Handle and ensure upkeep of all security gadgets and coordinate for their maintenance/repairs.
Provide required support to the plant shift superintendent in case of an emergent need.
Undertake training on concerned site HSE modules and perform accordingly.
Skills & Experience
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
NCC 'C' Certificate holder or trained in Industrial Security from a National or International institute of repute.
Previous security experience in big industrial establishment.
Operational security, intelligence, aptitude and emergency response capability.
Computer skills - MS Office.
Should be able to understand, read, write, and speak grammatically correct English and Hindi languages. Knowledge of Gujarati will be an added value.
Physically and mentally sound and robust.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
