This position supports the Corporate Social Responsibility business unit with the development and implementation of a CSR strategy that is aligned with business and social objectives, adds business value, and earns trust and credibility to enhance Hess’ partner of choice status in our operations.
Responsibilities
Contribute to building CSR performance capability across the business
- Support the CSR function’s global execution strategy (including but not limited to development of strategy, guidelines, procedures, tools, IT systems, etc.) to drive measurable improvements on the ground as well as process efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide key support to E&P and M&R responsible supply chain initiatives
- Support implementation of Hess’ Voluntary Commitments, including development and delivery of training and guidance notes
- Communicate and promote consistent application of Hess’ CSR strategy, vision and mission
- Research & benchmark other industry programs to ensure efficacy of procedures and new initiatives
- Build relationships with and collaborate with key business units to understand the needs of the company across unique regions to ensure CSR is integrated into the business
- Up to 25% travel – domestic and international – may be required
- 6-10 years related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public/international affairs or related discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience in some or all of the following areas: CSR strategy, business and human rights, responsible supply chains, business processes, or project management
- Good working knowledge of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, IFC Performance Standards, and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights requirements in at least one of the following areas: Ghana, West Africa
