Asset and Inventory Analyst


Responsible for analysis of Inventory & Asset information in order to establish, implement and maintain best practice processes required to review and resolve transitional issues

To provide Region Product Line Management, the Region VP and Region Finance Controllers with meaningful Inventory & Asset reports to assist them in running the business

Work with Region Product Line Management, provide advice and support in business issues including profitability, working capital and other operational finance issues

To support the country controllers and Finance personnel by providing advice on Inventory & Asset queries, Training in Inventory & Asset reporting systems and compliance with company policy

Responsibilities:
Responsibility to provide accurate, meaningful and timely Inventory & Asset reports in accordance with the Weatherford monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.
Provide the Region Inventory & Asset Management with advice and assistance at Country level;
In the form of Inventory & Asset analysis to all levels of Inventory & Asset management, as needed to ensure accurate stock results, counts, working capital
Provide monthly and quarterly reports to management on significant variances surrounding all Inventory & Asset management as requested by Direct and Secondary Management, including but not limited to Open Orders, Month End Reporting and Count Variances
Assist management in identifying potential areas for cost reduction and improvement in business performance and profitability
Assist in preparation of data for meetings, presentations and other reports as required
Education to operations Personnel in new and existing Inventory & Asset issues, new policies and systems that impact their areas of responsibility
Provide support to ensure proper asset and inventory management;
Responsibility to work with management and controllers in the region to help ensure asset and inventory counts are performed in accordance with company policy, and the reconciliation between financial, operational and physical records is performed and followed-up on to ensure all transactions are completed in full
Assist management and work in coordination with Financial Controllers to identify Excess and Obsolete Inventory & Assets in accordance with company policy and advice on required reserves
Assist management to identify under-utilized assets and provide advice accordingly.
Work with management to improve Operational and Supply Chain processes, such as procedures for asset and Inventory Transfers, Receipts, Order Placement and Equipment Movement, and ensure proper internal controls are in place
Responsible for the review of regional Inventory & Asset Branch Plants with Regional Product Line Management periodically, to ensure Branch Plant integrity as well as Asset depreciation
Support Country Finance Controllers and Finance Teams;
Providing advice on accounting and reporting queries
Training in Inventory & Asset reporting systems (eg. JDE, WBAM, Business Intelligence systems)
Ensure compliance with company policies (eg. revenue recognition)
Provide ad-hoc analysis and reports as required by Inventory & Asset Manager and the Region Controller
Assist with acquisition due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses, as required
Assist and support the Inventory & Asset Team members as required, including special projects, as required
The position will require ability to travel to other parts of the Region as required

Qualifications:
Experienced in Inventory & Asset management controls and processes
Experienced in monthly management reporting
Trained / Experienced in the use of Microsoft systems

Skills and experience required:
Relevant PC skills in Excel, Word
Strong communication skills (both written & oral)
Ability to use initiative, judgement and work with minimum supervision
Experience of working closely with operational and Management personnel
Analytical awareness and problem solving skills
Knowledge of JDE system
