They are currently recruiting for the position of Brownfield Water Source Project Manager, based on 28/28 rotation in Basrah, Iraq.
Job Description
This position is a leadership role requiring a very broad and fundamental knowledge of Define/Execute Project Management based on extensive experience in the onshore oil & gas industry, particularly in the Middle East.
Show Safety Leadership and visible commitment to safety performance
Integrate engineering disciplines and specialist contractors to deliver specified projects to meet operational performance targets
Lead the identification of risks and eliminate or implement mitigation measures. Capitalise on potential opportunities.
Work with Supply Chain Management to define and implement the Execute Contract Strategy. Establish effective contract management and procurement processes for the projects
Manage the development and control of the project budget and schedule.
Strong champion for effective application of project management of change.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Applied Science or equivalent with broad engineering experience with majority of experience in the oil & gas industry.
Considerable direct experience in project management in the Middle East, as well as experience working within a Joint Venture management structure.
Experience with execution of complex brownfield projects, including engineering, procurement and installation requirements as well as interfaces with host facilities.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to conceive program goals & directions, plan work efforts, establish and motivate a diverse team.
Demonstrated knowledge of industry practices and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of international standards.
Demonstrated business management skills pertaining to project management, risk management, contractor management, resource planning, budgeting and cost/schedule stewardship.
Ability to manage interfaces and work closely alongside operations teams and EPCI contractors during FEED, detailed design, construction, installation and commissioning.
Able to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully with internal peers, partners, and contractors to influence positive decisions or ways of working.
Chartered engineer with professional affiliation and extensive onshore oil and gas experience
Previous experience of working within a multi-cultural and multi-discipline environment
Previous experience of working in a remote field-based environment
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
