They are currently recruiting for the position of Category Specialist - Infrastructure, based in the London area.
Job Description
The Category Specialist will report to the Infrastructure PSCM Category Lead, and will undertake all contracting related activities in support of Infrastructure developments, both pre and post contract award, and contribute to a process of continuous improvement.
Ensuring system compliance is updated in line with all of the above, specifically Ariba and Maximo systems.
Liaison and co-ordination with other project disciplines to ensure interfaces for each package are appropriately managed.
Input to the development and use of standardised best in class contracting processes including contribution to continuous improvement.
Input to the development of contracting strategies and plans and subsequent adherence.
Ensure HSE requirements are fully addressed in all activities.
Liaison with, and guidance to, project personnel on contract related matters.
Report on goals, targets and achievements in agreed format.
Manage business risk imported via third party goods and services.
Perform all activities to the highest professional and ethical standards and in accordance with business procedures and ensure all decisions/ commitments are recorded in an auditable manner.
Pre-award contract engineering including the drafting, development and completion of all Governance documentation but specifically:
Expressions of interest and pre-qualification (RFI)
Strategy and Bid lists (SBL)
Requests for proposals (RFP)
Evaluation, negotiation and contract awards for a specialist category.
Post-award contract administration including:
Contractual correspondence,
Drafting and processing of call offs,
Variations and amendments
Claims
Invoice approval (if required)Maintaining and archiving of contract files/documents
Contract close out.
Skills & Experience
Degree qualified or equivalent preferred.
MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification.
Ability to discuss, draft and present complex contractual, legal and pricing issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to deal with senior management and internal and external representatives.
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and stringent time constraints.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office products, eg Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Oil & Gas industry experience.
Global/multi-national business experience.
Experience working in Middle East, and knowledge of the Far East and Middle East contracting market.
Knowledge of Arabic or Chinese.
Experience working in an Integrated Project Team environment.
Working knowledge of Maximo, Ariba and IS Networld.
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
