They are currently recruiting for the position of Principal Engineer MEG (Mechanical Rotary), based in Baroda, India.

Job Description

Use established codes and Jacobs engineering practices to produce engineering deliverables in the form of mechanical data sheets and enquiry requisitions for rotary equipment like pumps, blowers, compressors, turbines etc.; and packaged equipment like boilers, cooling towers, air dryers, water treatment units, nitrogen generation plants, flares, fired heaters, pollution control equipment, HRSG etc.
Technical evaluation of vendor offers, technical discussions with the vendors, preparation of technical recommendations and order specifications, Review of vendor drawings and resolve technical issues as part of detailed engineering
Extensive co-ordination with other engineering groups, handling of resources, progress reporting and work hour controlling.
Carry out design and detailing in the time frame assigned and maintaining the required quality norms
Required to interact and positively contribute with other disciplines in trouble shooting exercise of solving equipment related issues

Skills & Experience

Should have Engineering & consultancy background.
Experience in machinery like pumps, blowers , material handling equipment,etc.
First class graduate/post graduate mechanical/chemical engineers
Experience of working in a leading engineering consultancy or in the design office of a reputed process equipment manufacturer are required.
In-depth knowledge and experience of working with latest international codes like API and ANSI.
Vast experience.
Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas sector, Refinery and Fertilizers will have an edge.
Working knowledge of MS Project would be an added advantage.
This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
