They are currently recruiting for the position of Dive Mechanical QC, based in Azerbaijan.

Job Description
The QC - Dive Mechanical is responsible for witnessing and approving the installation of the Air and Saturation dive system including the fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of the associated equipment. With the primary focus ensuring acceptable quality for the mechanical aspect of the installation.

Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations.
Be part of a high performance team to facilitate successful delivery of the new build vessel and commissioning
Maintain awareness and promote conformance to company expectations and requirements of Safety and Quality Build within the construction team and the contractors.
Be in compliance with all appropriate elements of the Company , Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management and Management of Change
Ensuring that Shipyard QHSE standards are maintained, monitored and make suggestions for improvement in accordance with company expectations
Responsible for the dive system quality control for mechanical during the construction, installation and commissioning stages of the new vessel build.
Report on all aspects of diving system equipment installation progress or issues to the lead dive engineer
Review and verify the build is as per the approved design and engineering drawings
Work in close cooperation with the Shipyard installation engineers
Review work packages, commissioning procedures, FAT procedures and completion documents
Attend FAT's as may be required for major dive mechanical components/systems.
Perform on-site inspections of the shipyard work and confirm that the workmanship meets the required specifications
Providing on?site assistance for the interface between basic and detailed engineering data and the yards' fabrication engineering
Work closely with Class surveyors to ensure full compliance with Class rules, Flag state and relevant guidelines
The above responsibilities apply to both the Singapore Shipyard and the Baku Shipyard (BSY) stages of the vessel build
Work closely with the chosen marine/installation vessel operators and integrate the dive crew into the system completion/commissioning processes
Ensure that all appropriate technical documentation is verified and maintained in readiness for FAT's and commissioning
Over-see all dive commissioning tests, review and comment on any findings and make recommendations were appropriate
Witness and verify that the sea trials are completed as per plan.
Verify the execution of the Dive system FMEA onboard the vessel
Verifying FMEA's and sea-trials for the diving system and associated equipment are completed as per procedure.
Make recommendations on any findings from FAT's/SiT's/FMEA's or sea-trials.
Verify the inspection testing plans are completed
Work closely with Class surveyors to ensure full compliance with Class rules, Flag state and relevant guidelines
Ensure that all appropriate technical documentation is verified and maintained in readiness for testing and commissioning
Provide input into the planned maintenance system
Provide detailed information and assistance to the site construction manager/diving engineer regarding inspection results

Skills & Experience
Mechanical degree, HND or equivalent
Extensive experience in the diving industry
Experience in fabricating, installing and commissioning diving equipment
Good knowledge of Class and diving associated standards and the application of these rules in design, fabrication and commissioning
Knowledge and experience of DNV Class requirements
Experience with site construction activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues.
Exhibits an understanding of the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality
A high level of proven communication, interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated.
Computer literate
This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
