Our client is a leading energy services company to the global oil and gas industry. With a track record spanning over 40 years, they specialise in a broad range of specialist services for the entire oilfield lifecycle.

They are currently recruiting for the position of Engineer, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Assess design brief to produce the best solution to product/project requirements, considering, timescale, cost, safety, and current client and industry standards.
Integrate products and technologies from within the group to achieve said solution and offer external product solutions to complete project brief.
Perform engineering work to produce required product/project documentation, drawings, calculations, procedures, reports etc.
Check work of colleagues for project sign off.
Attend client meetings if requested.
Attend testing and/or installation of company equipment offsite
Collate bid information for composition of tender documents in support of the bid team
Work within the other groups of the company to gain experience of company product lines and how to explore new markets with existing technology or combining technologies.
Offer support and guidance to junior or less experienced members of the team to aid the growth and development of the company

Education
Essential
Degree Qualified Engineer in one of the following disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic, Software, Electro-mechanical.
Experience within Oil and Gas industry.
Experienced in 2D and 3D drawing packages, Mathematical analysis using classic methods and software packages, Microsoft Office.

Preferred
BEng or MEng, however a combination of Diploma and experience will be considered.
Willing to work towards chartership with a recognised body
Project management skills, knowledge of structural design, hydraulic systems
Knowledge of other areas within the mechanical field which can complement the core skill set.
Practical experience in a mechanical discipline

Experience/Skills
Essential:
Experience within Oil and Gas industry.

Preferred:
Design and build of pressure vessels for use within the oil and gas industry.
Familiar with specifications involved in complying with DOT, PED and TC.
Design of downhole equipment.
Well test or sampling experience
