They are currently recruiting for the position of Equipment Engineer, based in Delft.
Job Description
The Field Joint Coating Equipment (FJCE) Engineer works within the Pipeline Production Department (PPD). The department is responsible for the preparation of all offshore welding, non-destructive testing (NDT) and field joint coating (FJC). The FJCE Engineer reports to the Unit Head Field Joint Coating.
Set up, plan and manage the development and/or expansion of coating equipment based on future project requirements and/or pre-qualification trials;
Provide technical input and cost estimates for the development and/or expansion of coating equipment required for project proposals, preparations and production;
Co-ordinate between vessel(s), worksite(s), department(s), subcontractor(s), project team and client, ensuring all parties are up to date on their specific tasks / deliverables;
Evaluate, check and approve deliverables for all parties including FJC specification, Bases of Design, related test reports, drawings and requisitions;
Report to Unit Head Field Joint Coating regarding status of newly built equipment, problems foreseen or encountered on development/expansion projects and possible improvements on equipment quality, cost, effectiveness, practicality, versatility, (application) speed, techniques and vessel compatibility;
Monitor new coating equipment, both on- and offshore, built by company or subcontractors;
Implement FJC equipment modifications during development / expansion projects with a long term vision, anticipate line pipe and FJC improvements and consider all coating equipment to be used on board pipelay vessels.
Skills & Experience
BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
Relevant experience in a project orientated or manufacturing industry is an advantage;
Results-driven with a hands on attitude towards project team and end product;
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
In possession of a driving licence;
Prepared to work offshore and abroad on rare occasions;
Level of experience determines the seniority of the position.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
