Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Onshore Materials & Procurement Controller, based in Aberdeen .
Responsibilities:
Receive, review and process material requisitions in excess of 10,000 per annum.
Provide prompt and accurate purchase of materials via SAP Materials Management System. Volume in excess of 60,000 line items per annum.
Source material, as required, via the most efficient, cost effective method in accordance with Company procedures.
Liaise with Contract Managers, vendors and end users to quantify specific requirements and to resolve technical queries.
Review all requisitions and block those with inadequate specification to ensure material integrity
Provide procurement expertise and SAP guidance to customers. Recognised as the Company's Super User of SAP MM & RLM modules
Propose enhancements to SAP to benefit BOL's business model.
Maintain catalogue integrity
Assist and provide guidance in managing company's inventory to meet production requirements.
Assist and provide guidance in maintaining stock controls and reporting of same
Assist and provide guidance in monitoring stock holdings and recommend spares reduction/disposals based on utilization
Interface with contractors, vendors and end users to ensure correct material is received at right time.
Develop a 'team' type understanding with Offshore Materials Controllers and the Inventory Materials Controller through a close working relationship to ensure goods and services meet the customers needs first time and at the right time.
Procure and approve line items up to the value of $100,000 per purchase order through application of negotiation skills
Liaise with vendor and warehouse personnel, tracking , expediting and advising status and resolution of issues.
Provide visibility regarding materials status to onshore and offshore team on a regular basis with the delivery status of outstanding requirements via a structured expediting process.
Manage and track repairs and rentals and act as Company focal point with respect to obtaining quotes and resolving queries.
Review and update all procurement and materials related procedures to correctly reflect processes.
To be familiar with and have an understanding of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures
Experience and Qualifications:
Ability to deploy company and operational standards, policies and procedures to meet both regulatory and safety standards
Excellent SAP skills
Experience of catalogue compilation and integrity
Good supply market knowledge
Strong communication skills and proven ability to interface and negotiate with both internal and external clients at all levels
Ability to co-ordinate daily routines covering material movements and logistical requirements
Competent in the use of SAP materials management and logistics modules.
Significant experience in related environment preferably with offshore experience
