QHSE Systems Manager

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of QHSE Systems Manager, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Job Description
The Manager QHSE Systems develops, maintains and improves the management system in alignment and cooperation with the process owners.

Responsible for the business processes and derivative procedures, guidelines and instructions are certified to all relevant industry standards
Guides the business on development and implementation of a suitable document management system approach
Keep track of industry and regulatory developments, and proactively identify opportunities to improve the QHSE management systems
Conduct internal and external audits as required by the management system and project requirements
Responsible for optimizing the Management System in accordance with the QHSE Annual Plan and in line with international legislation in order to be able to control and minimize the company's risks in the area of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment
Reports on the QHSE performance and compliance with the procedures included in the Management System according to existing guidelines, in order to be able to advise the Senior Management on (potential) improvements.
Maintain professional contacts with external parties like certification institutes
Reports to the Staff Director QHSE.

Skills & Experience
A higher professional/academic (HBO/WO) level with preference for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration studies.
Extensive experience in QHSE or other relevant discipline within the offshore, dredging or Manufacturing industry.
Experienced in lean six sigma and/or process mapping
Knowledge and experienced with relevant industry standards ISO9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001
Proven management skills, organization sensitive, persistent, and conceptual thinker in combination with a hands-on mentality.
Provides guidance and takes decisions based on her/his QHSE knowledge and expertise, is able to influence customers and management at all levels, acting in conflicting situations always in the company's interests.
Willingness to spend short periods of time abroad
This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
