Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Process Control Engineer, based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Job Description
The Process Control Engineer will specify, engineer, manufacture and implement process control systems, instrumentation and PLC-based alarm systems for dredging equipment.
Responsible for optimum availability of the process control systems and applications on board the dredging equipment.
Examine and translate users' requirements and/or equipment-related process control queries into appropriate solutions, which take account of suitability in practice (feasibility).
Providing technical support with a view to resolving problems with regard to the control systems as rapidly as possible.
Assisting with operational implementation of the PLC&SCADA modifications.
Introducing new developments to the crew and provide support with trouble shooting.
Take charge of entire (new construction) projects from start to finish, up to and including the warranty period.
Skills & Experience
Successfully completed a Higher Vocational education in industrial automation or equivalent.
Considerable appropriate work experience.
is prepared to take or has already taken the course Advanced Training Implementation Dredging Works (VOUB).
Flexibility, ability to handle stress and good communication skills.
Willingness in connection with the work spend short periods abroad.
A good command of the English language.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
