They are currently recruiting for the position of Technical Security Project Coordinator, based in The Woodlands, Houston, Texas.

Job Description

This position will provide technical security expertise and support to the LNG Project, and will be tasked with conceptualizing and developing a robust and proven technical security solution for the Onshore and Offshore Project Areas.

Provide technical security expertise throughout the planning and development of the Onshore and Offshore Project areas, as well as during Operations.
Develop a robust and proven technical security solution which covers the LNG Processing Facility and associated infrastructure, the Project-designated port, surrounding port area and all infrastructure located within the port area. This solution should enhance security detection and surveillance capabilities, deliver invaluable real-time information in a crisis situation and allow for integration with the Systems and Communications being used by Operations.
Research the available security solutions to understand the options best suited for this Project.
Provide an assessment detailing the results of this research. Document the pros and cons of each and justify selections made.
Document each of the components that comprise the overarching technical security solution, and the policies and procedures for their implementation, in a detailed Technical Security Plan.
Collaborate with the Port Facility Security Coordinator and the Facility Security Coordinator to incorporate the technical security components into the Facility Security Plans, Port Security Plans, and the Onshore and Offshore Security Response Concepts.
When needed, train the appropriate personnel on how to properly use and maintain the technical security components.
Coordinate with the Project teams including the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) teams; Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies; stakeholders; and other relevant Project personnel.
Review and respond to Technical Queries submitted by Project teams that relate to all aspects of the technical security solution.
Ensure that all instructions regarding the technical security components provided to Project teams reflect the most up-to-date information.
Continuously update security instructions relevant to the technical security solution that are included in the Basis of Design (BOD), Philosophy documents, Project Instructions and any other applicable Project documentation.
Reconcile FEED, EPC, EPCM and EPCI Plans to ensure all security instructions and specifications included in the Basis of Design (BOD), Philosophy documents and Project Instructions, are properly adhered to.
Engage with Stakeholders and other Project teams (Maritime and Onshore Operations, Facilities, Project Management, etc.) throughout the life of the Project to ensure cohesion with Operations systems and, when necessary, assist in the design of technical security solutions to fit their needs.
Coordinate security design and implementation with the EPC Contractors.

Skills & Experience

Experience with, and a thorough understanding of, technical security components commonly used at large-scale sites, such as Access Control Systems (Lenel), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Communications Systems, and multiple camera surveillance systems. Experience with LNG sites would be preferable.
Knowledgeable of the relevant regulations and entities regarding the shipment and installation of technical security components to international sites.
Experience in developing and implementing technical security solutions used for both Onshore and Offshore Facilities.
Ability to coordinate, maintain and manage multiple Project activities while adhering to strict timelines. Provide ongoing updates and input of Project statuses to the security team and relevant stakeholders.
High School diploma required.
College or Technical/Trade School training a plus.
The following certifications are desirable for this position:
Certified Alarm Technician, ASIS international PSP or CPP Certification, ISMI CSMP Certification.
This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
