They are currently recruiting for the position of Vessel Assurance Coordinator, based in Delft.

Job Description
For our client in Delft, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Vessel Assurance Co-ordinator. The Vessel Assurance Co-ordinator works within the QHSE Department, which consists of a complementary team of quality, safety/marine-safety and environmental personnel. The Vessel Assurance Co-ordinator supports the onshore and offshore line organisation with the implementation and improvement of a multi-faceted management system.

Support the promotion of ISM code awareness and the implementation of the management system company-wide;
Work within a multi-disciplined department to ensure focussed support towards management, vessels and projects;
Perform internal audits on our client vessels;
Perform marine and/or safety inspections on subcontracted vessels;
Provide project support regarding the co-ordination of auditing of chartered units/vessels (excluding specialist systems, i.e. diving and survey spreads);
In liaison with Project Managers and/or Vessel Managers, escort auditors, client representatives and marine warranty surveyors to and on the vessels as required;
Interpret changes in maritime legislation, standards, etc. into implications for our clients operations;
Participate in incident investigation teams.

Skills & Experience
BSc degree in Nautical Science (Maroff/MO);
Considerable experience as Captain, Chief Mate or First Mate;
Knowledge of all IMO conventions;
Knowledge of occupational health and safety acts/regulations;
Familiarity with the IMCA Common Marine Inspection Document (CMID) and the Offshore Vessel Inspection Document (OVID);
Experience with QHSE management systems;
Experience with auditing against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or the ISM Code requirements;
Experience with root cause analysis;
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
Medically fit to travel and work offshore.
This is a permanent position.

The salary for this position is negotiable.
