They are currently recruiting for the position of Reliability & Maintenance Manager, based on 28/28 rotation in Basrah, Iraq.

Job Description

The R&M Manager is responsible for the Reliability and Maintenance of all equipment necessary for operations in the Organisation in Southern Iraq. Annual production from the field is currently 1.3 million bbls/d which will grow significantly over the next 5 years to a long-term plateau of 2.1 million bbls/d. The role provided R&M services for 14 degassing stations (process plants), 6 cluster pump stations (Water Injection facilities), A 2 million bbls/day source water lifting and conditioning plant, a further source water lift plant, operating typically with an annual budget responsibility in excess of $350 million.

Owner of $200 million Maintenance Management Contract - used to staff up a core management team.
Base Maintenance & Reliability - Building GMS (Maximo Build) conception to field execution. Own & manage Maximo & associated inventory.
Pipework, Pipeline systems - repair and replace
Small Project field implementation
SCE maintenance & PSV recertification
Valve & instrumentation upgrades
All enabling activities for field inspection
Fabric maintenance - asbestos, painting, lagging, scaffold, blasting etc.
Iraqi National Development & driving Competency development into maintenance org.. (several thousand Iraqi employees).
All Rotating Equipment Overhaul, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Electrical Infrastructure & Upgrades (e.g. new MCCs, Overhead transmission line repair)
Vessel internals replacement, vessel cleaning
Dehydrator & Desalter internal upgrades.
Maintenance Workshop Management & Upgrades
Reliability, Continuous Improvement, Defect Elimination.
The R&M manager must be able to demonstrate past capability in taking an existing, immature R&M organisation and re-building and re-shaping the function to meet changing R&M needs of the field. To identify and understand the critical needs and priorities of the Organisation, get appropriate teams and team structure in place.

Candidates must be willing to rotate out of Iraq to point of origin on a 28-day rotational basis. The post-holder will have an Ex-Pat back-to-back.

Skills & Experience

BSc or equivalent in an Engineering or Science based discipline is required.
Extensive operational environments, JV/Non-Operated Experience strongly preferred.
Patience, tolerance, perseverance to work within large complex organization where English is second language.
Strength-of-character sufficient to relentlessly drive forward on the basics of prudent operation, to not be discouraged about how much effort that takes, and to share the success of improvements (regardless of how these might compare to other operating environments).
Experience in Most-of-World location and Non-Operated/Joint Venture Organisations.
This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
