They are currently recruiting for the position of Operating Management Systems Authority, based on 28/28 rotation in Basrah, Iraq.
Job Description
Coach and directly support Line Operations, working closely with Sr. Ops Manager. Develop and deliver standardized, high performing, and systematic operations
Drive efficient conformance to all relevant ROO operating standards (non Wells specific), legal requirements, and regional /entity guidelines applicable to Operations
Own the prioritised and pragmatic implementation of key Operating management systems -e.g. COW, Lifting management system, Competency Development etc., underpinned by the OMS framework.
Recommend and own implementation of system improvements and standardization within the organisation. Advise when required on deviations from operating practices (non Wells specific).
Work closely with line operations to 'operationalise' standards
Work closely with operations functions to develop and consistently and systematically implement 'back-to-basics/embed the basics' programs. Drive implementation of systematic and sustainable processes to this end.
Inform the Senior Operations Manager and GM of issues requiring elevation or intervention
Agree a rolling 3 year OMS gap improvement plan and assure conformance stays on track
Drive and own prioritised and pragmatic, staged implementation of key elements of the OMS, including light-touch annual OMS gap assessments and closure plans and standardized interpretation of OMS and critical operating practices. Drive OMS conformance on a continuous basis
Deliver implementation of the WorkSafe CoW system and required training across all operating activity (except Wells and Green Field)
Assure that systems to deliver competence and qualifications effectively meet the needs of the line. Act as focal point for Operations competency development. Close interfaces with Operations functions and training team to ensure structured development plans are in place for Iraqi teams, training programs and training offers are logical and progressively build discipline competencies. Ensure assessment programs are appropriate, and progress in competency development is tracked and visible.
Deliver implementation of an effective lifting management system across the organisation.
Assure interventions are in place to address significant risks or ineffective processes
Work with Line operations to create tools and indicators that will allow self verification of system weaknesses
Develop a culture of defect elimination and Continuous Improvement across operations functions.
Drive production of 'Operating System' manuals for each degassing station that underpin the detailed Operating procedures.
Skills & Experience
Seasoned operational leader
Extensive network in global Operating community
Demonstrable ability to lead functional change agendas in an entity
Deep working knowledge of OMS and systematic management
Working knowledge of CI practices and intent
This is a contract position.
The rate for this position is negotiable.
