They are currently recruiting for the position of Construction Engineer -Deck Piping/Mechanical Engineer, based in Baku Azerbaijan

Responsibilities will include:
Ensure a commitment to best HSSE performance by mechanical team for the company and for contractor and contractor's workforce
Establish technical and installation engineering routine and allied integrity process with deck build contractor construction mechanical engineer and construction supervisors
Participate in equipment lifting and installation risk assessments held by contractor
Participate in daily tool box talks on work site safety behaviour and hazard mitigation
Lead company's expectations on quality and integrity in mechanical installation for deck build
Agree with contractor's mechanical engineer the work pack scheduling for equipment installation and fixing
Assist contractor's national recruitment strategy for mobilisation of mechanical engineers
Participate in Companyu onstruction group risk register & Lessons Learned activities
Engage in technical interface between design engineering contractor and Company Construction Management Team
Ensure along with Communication and External Affairs teams that Azeri Authority approvals are achieved
At site, ensure the construction effort is being applied in accordance with project schedule
Assist in the development of the Mechanical Completion execution plan for contractor deck build and yard completion
Deliver installation reports and ensure that the contracts' Scope of Work (SOW) includes learning from constructability issues
Inspect quality and integrity of mechanical equipment on arrival at contractor's stores or warehouse (goods inward inspection)
Witness and review installation of mechanical equipment & plant on the decks
Report on any non-conformance identified at either goods receipt or at equipment installation
Agree and monitor Required on Site (ROS) dates with Exploration and Production and ensuring the contracts SOW account for the dates
Manage the clarification of Contractor requests for change in scope, or for design engineering introduced change through a robust Management of Change (MOC) process
Monitor Contractor's progress and assist in achieving best productivity for work done.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering

Experience
Essential
Significant experience in oil and gas / petrochemical or relevant international project, in a similar role leading to development of the following skill sets:
Commissioning , start-up and operations functions
Mechanical completion of equipment & plant
Completions and handover to commissioning procedures
Site Integrity Management (IM) standards and the application of IM to Completions
Control of Work processes during work execution
Previous experience of Topsides mechanical build projects
Proven ability to develop procedures, practices and strategies from first principles
Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams and communicate with discipline engineers
Ability to produce written reports and procedures
Deep understanding of Mechanical Completion process
Ability to interact with Mechanical, Piping and Process Engineers & Technicians
Track record in developing technical personnel into a competent workforce
Demonstrable HSSE Leadership and personal commitment to Safety
Awareness of safety management systems
Competent in communicating in English language, both verbally and written
Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Desirable
Previous knowledge and experience of working with the SHMP (System Handover Management Process -formerly GOC) or equivalent;
Degree in Engineering relevant discipline
Chartered Engineer is desired
