They are currently recruiting for the position of Deputy General Manager - Civil, based in Baroda, India.
Job Description
Guide and supervise team of engineers and designers/draughtsmen in preparation of structural analysis, design and 3D modeling, 2D drafting on projects involving plant/non-plant buildings, pipe racks, liquid retaining structures, equipment foundations for fabricated and rotating equipment, site grading, roads/storm water drains etc. based on Indian/American/British/Euro/Canadian codes, good engineering/safety in designs/value enhancing/quality practices & client requirement and as per budget/schedule
Guide and supervise team in preparation of FEED verification, tenders, BOQ, MTO and bid queries resolution
Guide and supervise team in standardization and continual improvement
Recruitment, administration and training of project/department personnel
Interacting with client/vendor and other disciplines/site
Visiting other offices/vendor shop/site
Skills & Experience
Graduate engineer with vast experience in multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firms
Considerable experience in managerial cadre supervising large projects having more than fifteen people team at peak
Design experience based on any one of the international codes, one revamp/modernization project
Hands on experience on STAAD-PRO package and knowledge of SPR/Nevis Work, PDS, Micro-station and AutoCAD packages is must
Knowledge STAAD Foundation, MAT 3D, NISA, SAP, SP3D, PDMS, TEKLA, RC-CAD etc. packages is preferred
Understanding of other engineering discipline work, project management/control and civil/structural construction work is must
Exposure to budgeting of the project engineering activities is must
Able to communicate well in English is must
Good health subject to medical checkup
This is a permanent position.
