They are currently recruiting for the position of Principal Project Engineer, based in Baroda, India.
Job Description
Committed for the implementation of Quality Policy and Core Values.
Achieve the project's stated objectives as also those learned through the expectation and performance survey.
Completion of project within the time, cost, safety and other stated performance parameters delivering superior value to the client and lowering total cost.
Building a relationship with the client so as to successfully win repeat business.
Analyze pre-contract correspondence vis-a-vis contract and resolve grey areas, if any, in the contract.
Assist in preparing the Project Execution Plan covering objectives and priorities and the directives to be followed and constraints to be imposed on the design, procurement, erection and commissioning of the plant.
Resolve grey areas in basic design parameters and design standards with the client and issue contract design data.
Prepare Project Co-ordination Procedure .
Issue the project programme.
Agree Construction Co-ordination Procedure with the Resident Construction Manager.
Study the control estimates. Follow up corrective action where necessary as directed by the Project Manager.
Prepare the periodical progress reports to client for Project Manager's review.
Assist Project Manager in collecting payments from the client including following up any accounts receivables.
Assist Project Manager in preparing Project Closure Report.
Ensure that relationships with other departments within the Company and with the clients are effective and cordial.
Ensure that cost and work-hours are properly monitored, reported and take preventive/corrective action where necessary.
Assist Project Manager regarding Change Notices to be sent to the client. Decide number and scope of internal changes which do not affect client.
Control the distribution of information to and from the Company between the Company and the Client, vendors and other bodies.
Ensure proper document control through Document Controller.
Review client's documentation for acceptability. Co-ordinate with client for missing data/information through RFIs.
Liaise with client on all matters relating to the project including overall progress, approval of documents, clients obligations and progress.
Meet client expectations and maintain long-term relationship with client. Attend to client's feedback/any complaints
Skills & Experience
A degree in any Engineering Discipline (preferably Chemical/Mechanical)
Extensive experience in Design Engineering, Project Management and/or Construction preferably with an Engineering Consultant/Contractor.
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
