Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Cost Engineer, based in Aberdeen
"candidates must have experience of leading a team within an operator environment with recent FPSO experience"
Responsibilities will include:
Managing project cost control reporting structure
Developing Annual Project Budgets
Participate in project Risk Reviews and updates undertake cost estimate reviews as required
Controlling and report forecasts against variations and emerging project trends
Calculating project financial performance metrics and feed into company corporate commercial reporting
Ensuring accurate cost and commitment data is maintained within the cost reporting tool
Coordination of partner and company budgets in accordance with timetables
Provision of accurate cost and cash flow information for inclusion within Joint Interest Billings
Provision of accurate cost and cash flow information from inclusion in internal Business Unit Reporting
Participation in Finance Committee / Operating Committee meetings
Qualifications
Recognised professional Accounting, QS or Business qualification
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Extensive experience in a similar role / project environment, communications, process minded.
Ablility to communicate cost and finance information to senior management in a knowledgeable way.
Sound knowledge of accounting concepts and principles for UK Joint Venture operations.
Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel.
Excellent understanding of project accounting and cost control processes and software.
Awareness of Joint Venture Operating Agreements
