They are currently recruiting for the position of Planning Manager, based in Aberdeen

Responsibilities will include:
Manage all aspects of Planning, including techniques, systems, staff, training and development, in order to provide the company with an efficient and professional planning capability. 
Provide clear definition of the objectives of the Planning within the company and in the interfaces with clients. 
Ensure that planning techniques and practices within the company are compatible with specific types of contract work - in particular the differing project types and complexities - and that staff are trained adequately in these differences. 
Read, understand and implement the Company Safety Policy and the arrangements described in the company and area Safety Management System documents in relation to the Planning function. 
Develop and implement Planning techniques which address the above objectives and provide the correct tools for project execution with support of the Brownfield Project Controls Manager. 
Carry out regular governance reviews/audits of Planning practices/quality on all projects to ensure that the Planning objectives are being met. 
Ensure all planning work is carried out in compliance with Corporate and Project specific procedures. 
Understand and apply planning theory, processes and best practices. 

Qualifications
Essential 
Technical Degree or Equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications: 
Chartered Engineering. 
Member of Professional Institution. 

Experience
Extensive experience in the Engineering Construction industry. 
Significant portion of the above to have been within Planning. 
Supervision of teams of people. 
Experience in the planning of major petrochemical or offshore projects. 
Good presentation skills. 
High level of IT/Computer Literacy.
