Structural Engineer

Our Client is a well established, vastly experienced and multi-disciplined contractor, with global capabilities in Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPC&C) to deliver comprehensive and value-engineered solutions to clients in the hydrocarbon, petrochemical and energy industries.

They are currently recruiting for the position of Structural Engineer, based in Teeside, UK.

Job Description
Our client, is a world leader in the specialist design and construction of large LNG and cryogenic liquid storage tanks and terminals in the international EPC market. They are looking for talented Structural Engineers to develop as part of their creative and friendly team.

We are seeking Chartered Structural Engineers to support us in designing the structural steel elements of large tanks and associated process structures related to the storage of LNG and cryogenic liquids. This would include the large domed roof structures, aluminium decks, large roof-top plant, pipe support structures and industrial buildings. The successful candidates will be responsible for the management of a project team therefore will have experience of people management. High levels of autonomy and a keen analytical eye is paramount as they will review contractor designs and details as part of the Project Management Consultants Team.

They will also prepare Cost/Time/Resource (CTR) estimates and monitor progress and project budgets. The role is predominantly office based, however, due to the international nature of the projects; candidates may occasionally be required, by mutual agreement, to visit contract sites within the UK and overseas. Due to the specialist, niche, nature of the work it is accepted that candidates may not have direct experience of the design of cryogenic storage tanks. Therefore, the client will provide mentoring and training to candidates with appropriate experience in other related industry sectors.
