They are currently recruiting for the position of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator, based on 28/28 rotation in Iraq.

Job Description

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Operations Manager (OM) is tasked with the operation of the companies UAV assets, following tasking from the Security Operations Manager. They are to effectively service company mission requirements using the integral UAV assets available and are responsible for the safe and effective operation of the UAV in completion of missions. Maintain oversight of the maintenance program and liaise with local security force and associated local government aviation agencies as required by the Security Director.

Conduct pre-flight UAV and system inspections.
Mission planning, to include: an in-depth understanding of airspace; fuel management; system limitations; overall mission intent; radio communications with crew and air traffic control; proper utilization of all available flight modes; and proper performance of all published emergency procedures.
Safely and effectively operate the UAV assets to support the maintenance of a secure operating environment
Maintain awareness of the companies operating environment and the specific hazards over-flight of such an area entails
Ensure compliance with regulations pertaining to the safe operation of UAV as set down in accepted international standards and local requirements.
Inform company of relevant information gathered during the course of flights in a timely manner
Complete post-mission reports, flight logs and oversee aircraft maintenance in accordance with both FAA directives and company requirements.
In the event of an UAV failure or incident, provide advice to company on the incident response plan
Management, tasking and development of team staff working on the UAV programme
Conducting UAV operations in the challenging operating environment
Ensuring mission success through effective maintenance, planning and deployment of UAV assets
Ensuring compliance with host nation and FAA requirements on the operation of UAVs.

Skills & Experience

Considerable UAV operating experience
Experience of operating UAV's in challenging environments
Experience in successfully managing a small team
Experience of working with commercial Oil & Gas operations is advantageous
Excellent communication skills
This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
